Historic Adventism

Historic Adventism

Author: Colin Standish

“Historic Adventism” is a term commonly used to identify the beliefs of those who have opposed the intrusion of “new theology” into the Seventh-day Adventist church beginning in the 1970s and 1980s. In this book, Dr. Colin Standish sets out to outline the chief beliefs of what has become known as “Historic Adventism.”

The manuscript was originally intended as an article to be published in Ministry Magazine, as was a contrasting article by a professor at Andrews University. However, as predicted by several faithful pastors, this article proved to be too well written and unanswerable by the opposing argument, and was therefore rejected by the editors of Ministry Magazine. That article is now the book, Historic Adventism.
